Chroma Surge’s giclee process and art reproduction services are outlined below.

Step 1: Image Capture

Image capture is an imperative step to a quality reproduction. The final print is only as good as the digital capture. Artwork is photographed with a 50 megapixel Hasselblad camera, capturing your art with impressive detail and an unmatched level of quality.

Step 2: Proofing

Using the original for reference, Kelly produces a print proof to match the original in colour and detail. Once the artist is happy with the proof, Kelly will begin the printing process.

Step 3: Printing

We use the latest in large format printers specifically designed for fine art printing. Our archival inks and canvas produce stunning results that are much more durable than ever before. Chroma Surges offers Canvas, Enhanced Matte and Somerset Velvet (100% cotton rag)

Step 4: Protective Spray

All of our canvas prints are sprayed with a water based gloss UV protective liquid laminate. This adds additional durability and an estimated 35 years of archival life. The laminate cost is included in the canvas prints.

Step 5: Stretching & Framing

Chroma Surge can stretch your canvas print or original on a custom built stretcher bar. Canvases are hand-stretched and carefully inspected for flaws in order to meet our high standards. In addition, we offer floater frames for framing your canvas print.
